The SOLROOF roof is based on a steel covering. The installation method of the SOLROOF roof ensures adequate tightness at the joints of the sheets, making the roof fully functional and airtight and fulfilling its primary purpose – protecting the house.
The joints between the panels are often not airtight, and a proper protective layer is required – a membrane or heat-sealed layer. There is wiring under the panels that can come into contact with moisture and water.

We provide installation training, the panels are installed using a technology known by roofers – the click seam. The roof can also be purchased with installation. We also provide additional materials, such as step-by-step instructions, technical advice and a staff of authorised roofers.
It is a non-standard roofing installed with little known solutions that increase working time and can lead to installation errors. There are a limited number of specialist roofers on the market who can carry out the installation and service work.

SOLROOF is a complete solution. The entire roof – the active (photovoltaic) part, the inactive part, the roof flashings and accessories as well as the gutter system – are manufactured by us. As a result, the solutions are dedicated and perfectly matched to each other and are available off-the-shelf in the event of a need for replacement or expansion of the system.
They assemble individual roof components from different suppliers. They do not declare the origin of the photovoltaic panels. As a result, problems can arise due to mismatched products, lack of dedicated flashings and accessories, which affects roof aesthetics, safety and servicing.

BP2 Ltd. is responsible for the SOLROOF brand. – We have been a renowned manufacturer of steel roofing for 30 years. We manufacture the complete SOLROOF steel roof at our sites in the European Union.
Photovoltaic panel roofs are most often manufactured outside the European Union, e.g. in China, and imported into Poland. They assemble individual roof components from different suppliers. As a result, there is no real information about the origin and standardised quality control, and there are also problems with the availability and interchangeability of components.

The roof is available in as little as 24 hours, which contributes to shorter lead times, lower costs, and servicing. We have an extensive sales network and contact with our sales department is through representatives directly associated with our company. This gives the customer the security and convenience of purchasing and handling warranty, complaint or service issues.
Availability is very difficult and delivery can be time-consuming, not least because of the need to assemble components from different, including non-European, manufacturers.

The SOLROOF roof is made of low-emission XCarb® steel, which is at least 65% recycled, is produced in furnaces powered by 100% organic sources and is easily recycled again – and is the most durable raw material.
Glass-glass panels are very difficult to recycle. Production can have a negative impact on the environment and on the quality of life of the occupants of the home, especially as most manufacturers do not pay attention to the environment from which the components are made and do not declare their origin.

A SOLROOF steel roof is cheaper and lighter due to the use of 0.5 mm thick steel. Thanks to special coatings, it does not require complicated and expensive maintenance work. The installation of the roof is cheaper and much quicker.
Standard ceramic roofing is more expensive than steel roofing and, when integrated with photovoltaics, can increase its cost several times. In addition, it requires a more expensive and stronger substructure and more demanding and costly installation.

Active and inactive panels are lighter than alternative solutions because we use 0.5 mm thick steel. A SOLROOF roof does not require reinforced roof structures.
Roofs require better load-bearing capacity, as ceramic PV tiles are heavier than steel alternatives. Ceramics do not perform well on structures with lighter roof structures, such as sheds or garages.

We have reduced the number of connections and reduced the length of cabling. The panels are assembled using the familiar click seam technology and all wiring is concealed under the roof surface in special channels.
The very high number of long cable connections can cause many installation errors and increases the risk of system overheating. And because of the nature of ceramic tiles, it increases installation costs.

These are much more expensive solutions than standard photovoltaics and other photovoltaic roofs. This is due to the manufacturing technologies used, the integration of the sheathing with the photovoltaics, the preparatory costs before installation (special construction) and limited availability.

A SOLROOF roof does not require the complete disassembly of the roofing, and components such as optimisers or wiring are easily accessible, allowing safe servicing by certified installation teams.
Solar roofs, through difficult product availability and inaccessible sales departments, are very difficult to service. In some cases, the manufacturer’s role sometimes ends only with selling the roof, leaving the customer alone with problems that arise.
