FIT VOLT panels have passed hailstone tests, meeting European requirements not only for the SIA 261 standard – class HW4 but also for the IEC 61215-2 standard.
What does it mean in practice?
For a product to meet the requirements of the IEC 61215-2 standard, it must successfully undergo a hailstone impact test with hailstones moving at a speed of at least 30.7 m/s, with a diameter of 45 mm and a mass of 42.9 g. The FIT VOLT panels of the SOLROOF system successfully maintain durability at speeds of up to 41 m/s!
And all thanks to the integration of tempered glass with steel, which is a very durable and easy-to-maintain material, making the product’s resistance to hail very high!
